Superbly painted and converted Black Templars Marshal with Lightning Claws, Jump Pack, and Purity Seals. His Lightning Claws give him +1 A in close combat, and allow him to re-roll failed wound dice, furthermore they deny your opponent any armour save. His Jump Pack allows him to traverse the battlefield with speed and cunning. Unlike other Chapters, when the Black Templars come under fire they throw themselves forward towards their foes, Purity Seals allow this model or any squad he is attatched to to roll an extra die and choose the highest for this extra movement.

The Black Templars have been Crusading since their founding, their prowess at close combat is the stuff of legend. This model upholds that tradition admirably, able to cut down enemy troops and characters with terrifying efficiency.

I really enjoyed painting and converting this figure, Black Templars are always fun to paint, their dynamic black and white colour scheme looks great. The lightning claws look very daunting and all the details on the figure are excellent, I especially like the purity seals and golden crest on his helm. As well as the personal litanies on his sholderplates and elsewhere on his armour.
