Superbly painted Dark Angels Captain armed with a pair of Lightning Claws, frag and krak grenades and a Jump Pack. This model sports one of the most fearsome wargear combinations availible to the Blood Angels. He gains +1 A from his paired lightning claws, and may re-roll any fail wound dice, furthermore the crackling energy of the claws denies your opponents any armour saves. Frag Grenades allow him to strike in initiative order with models hiding in cover, and krak grenades allow him to make attacks on vehicles.

Resolute and determined the Dark Angels are famous for never giving ground even against overwhelming odds. The Dark Angels HQs are all Stubborn and will never flee from an assault once it has been engaged. Further all Dark Angels HQs have Terminator Honours giving them an additional attack included in their profile combined with his Lightning Claws and Stubborn resolve it makes this Commander all the more deadly; never giving ground and able to chew through enemy troops with terrible efficiency.

I have recently done a commission for a Dark Angels Squad and I enjoyed it so much I decided to paint this Captain up as a Dark Angel rather than as a Blood Angel or Black Templar. I really like the details on his chest plate, the Angel wings under the JumpPack straps and his glowing red eye and targeter look great. The pose of this figure is very dynamic as well and the Lightning Claws accent it nicely.
