Krootox

Superbly painted Tau Krootox with Kroot Gun. Need to add some more firepower and close combat punch to your Tau force? This is the perfect thing to bolster a Kroot Carnivore squad. The Kroot gun gives the squad an extra S7 48" punch and the Krootox himself has 3 Strength 6 attacks in close combat, adding significant killing power to the vicious Kroot.
Krootox are a divergent branch of normal Kroot evolution, they are ground dwelling herbivores, normally docile and shy. Some Kroot squads have tamed and trained Krootoxes to carry massive guns into battle, and though these giants are normally timid they are ferocious when attacked or enraged.
This figure was a lots of fun to paint, painting Kroot models always offers lots of opportunities to accentuate musculature and bone. I particularly like the beak on the Krootox and the many washes used to bring out the muscles on the Krootox's forelimbs.
