| The Gauntlets of Ultramar are ancient and potent artefacts worn by the very hands of their Primarch, they count as a pair of Power Fists giving Marneus S8 and denying his foes any armour saves, the gauntlets also incorporate a pair of bolters which function as a StormBolter. He gains +2 A in close combat from the Gauntlets and his Terminator Honours, and he is protected from harm by his artificer armour which grants him a 2+ armour save. |

| I have had several requests to paint Marneus Calgar on my website, so I finally got around to painting him up, and I must say it was a pleasure. The amount of fine detail on this figure is quite astounding, I especiall like the crests and emblems on his armour, the laurels held by the eagle icons, and the tounge of flame on his dagger. The Gauntlets of Ultramar were a great excercise in edging and the unique backpack of this figure is very impressive, all in all he is the ideal Ultramarine perhaps the most characterful figure in the Space Marine line. |
