This model gains +2 A in close combat and the crackling engergy of his power sword denies his enemies any save. His plasma pistol insures that he has the firepower to thereaten light vehicles or vaporize troops wearing even the heaviest of armour. Unlike other chapters Black Templar Characters with Purity Seals and the squads accompanying them hurl themselves towards the enemy if they fail morale checks due to shooting casualties.

I really enjoy painting Black Templars, and I believe I had more success in writing the personal litanies on this figures power armour than I have in the past. I went with a Black and deep Red dominant colour scheme rather than adding more white, firstly to make the Marshal stand out against normal troopers and to add a lot more vibrance to the figure. The crackling energy of the powersword is quite nice as are the gem in the Crux Terminatus and the focusing lenses and glowing power cells of his Plasma Pistol.
